1 tablespoon baking powder
25g/0.25 cup/1oz.pure cacao powder
125g/0.5 cup/4oz.unsalted butter, softened
1.25 tablespoon vanilla sugar
2 tablespoons milk
70 g/1/3 cup/2 oz.brown sugar
2 tablespoons cacao
250 ml/1 cup/8fl.oz.coffee
Preheat the oven to 1900C/3750F.
In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cacao powder and a pinch of salt.
In a large bowl cream the butter and the sugar, add the eggs then the flour-cacao mixture followed by the vanila sugar and the milk.
Pour the batter into a cake tin, sprinkle with brown sugar and cacao powder then spoon over the hot coffee.
Bake approximately 30 minutes.
